Bandarban Ruma Upazila, in Bangladesh's mountainous area, was closed to tourists by the local government. 
 
Travellers are prohibited from making hotel reservations or visiting any locations within the upazila until the combined operation has concluded. 
 
As per the instruction, it is forbidden to convey visitors to any tourist spots in a jeep and to cross any rivers within the Bandarban upazila.
 
On April 9, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Didarul Alam signed a notice containing the command.
 
The Kuki - Chin National Front (KNF), which has its stronghold in Chattogram Hill Tracts, captured weapons and ammunition from Ansar members on April 2, stole cash from Ruma Upazila Sonali Bank, and abducted the bank manager.
 
Robbers took money from the Sonali bank and Krishi upazila in Thanchi upazila on April 3.
 
In these robbery events, which the KNF carried out, up to 59 persons have been detained.
