The Maheshkhali upazila government arranged a vibrant parade to mark Pahela Baisakh and Bangla New Year in 1431 in order to chase away the darkness and bring out the light.
 
The Mangal procession began early on Sunday, April 14, with hundreds of people gathered at the upazila parishad premises to celebrate the arrival of the Bangla new year, 1431 Bangabd.
 
This parade had participants of all ages, including kids, teens, and young adults dressed in a variety of vibrant costumes. The themes of tigers, elephants, owls, dhols, ektara, and bhondar, as well as the participants in the parade, abound in the colours of the Baishakh (Bangla New Year) celebrations.
 
Beginning at the Upazila Parishad premises, the Mangal Sobhayatra circled the municipality's principal highways before coming to a finish there.
 
Ashek Ullah Rafiq, the local member of parliament; Md. Tashbir Hossain, the Upazila assistant commissioner (lands); Sukant Chakraborty, the officer-in-charge (OC) of the Maheshkhali Police Station; Bimalendu Kishore Pal, the Upazila election officer; and Sabuj Kumar Dey, the Upazila project engineer, Cox's Bazar.
 
In the Maheshkhali upazila Rally were AL vice-president Azizur Rahman, courageous freedom warrior Saleh Ahmad, representatives and staff of the Maheshkhali upazila administration, as well as a number of political personalities, teacher, and students from various educational institutions.
 
Later, on the grounds of Maheshkhali Upazila, the visitors talked about the significance of the Bengali holiday Pahela Baishakh.
