Khagrachhari, July 02 (V7N)- Due to heavy rainfall causing landslides in the Alutila area of Matiranga, Khagrachhari, road communication between Dhaka and Chittagong was disrupted for nearly three hours before returning to normal around 8 AM on Tuesday. 
 
Fire service officials confirmed the road was cleared of landslide debris, restoring regular traffic flow. Earlier, at around 5 AM on Tuesday, a landslide occurred on the road, halting vehicle movement due to soil blocking the road. Stranded passengers from Dhaka and Chittagong faced difficulties. Fire service workers began clearing the debris to reopen the road. 
 
Khagrachhari Fire Service Civil Defense leader Md. Josim Uddin stated concerns about possible further landslides along the Alutila road due to ongoing heavy rains, causing flooding in lower areas of the district. This situation is monitored closely by local authorities.
