Five individuals were reportedly crushed to death by a Dhaka-bound mail train 'Turna-Nishita' from Chattogram in Raipura upazila, Narsingdi. Methikanda Station Master Ashrat Ali confirmed the incident, noting the bodies were recovered from Khakhchak area around 10:30 am. The identities of the deceased, all male, remain unknown.

Local residents discovered the bodies at around 8 am. The cause of death, whether falling from the train roof or being hit while sitting near the level crossing, is yet to be determined. Additional Police Superintendent (Raipura Circle) Afsan Alam stated that three trains had passed before the bodies were found, and the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) has been called in to confirm the identities.
