Madaripur, Aug 26 (V7N) - A murder case has been filed against Sheikh Hasina and at least 90 others following the death of Tawheed Sannamat during an anti-discrimination student movement. The accused include Awami League presidium member and former MP for Madaripur-2, Shahjahan Khan, and joint general secretary and former MP for Madaripur-3, A F M Bahauddin Nasim. The case was confirmed by the Officer-in-Charge of Madaripur Sadar Police Station, A H Salauddin, on Monday, after the complaint was filed late Sunday night.
 
The complainant, Kamrul Hasan, the Secretary of the District Chhatra Dal, reported that on July 19, a three-way clash occurred in front of the Youth Development Office in Madaripur city involving the Chhatra League, police, and quota reform protesters. Tawheed Sannamat, from Suchiarbhanga village in the Mustafapur union of Madaripur Sadar upazila, joined the protest and was shot dead by police and Chhatra League members.
 
The complainant stated that during Sheikh Hasina's tenure, discussing the issue was feared. Kamrul Hasan has filed a murder case with the inclusion of 500 to 700 unidentified suspects. Officer-in-Charge A.H. Salauddin stated that the case was registered on Sunday night, naming 90 individuals and approximately 700 unidentified suspects. Legal actions will now be taken as per the procedure.
