Tangail, Oct 03 (V7N)- A total of 175 researchers from Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU) in Tangail have been recognized among the world's top researchers in the 2024 edition of the prestigious Alper Dogger (AD) Scientific Index. This marks a significant increase from the 119 researchers ranked in the previous year.

The AD Scientific Index, a global ranking platform for researchers and universities, assessed over 2.4 million scientists from 24,336 universities across 219 countries. The rankings are based on key research performance metrics such as the H-index, I-10 index, and citation counts from Google Scholar over the past five years.

Among the top three MBSTU researchers:

1. Kaushar Ahmed from the Department of Information and Communication Technology secured the 1st position within the university. He is ranked 14th in Bangladesh and 59,784th globally in computer science research.

2. Ali Newaz Bahar , also from the Department of Information and Communication Technology, holds the 2nd position in the university, 153rd in Bangladesh , and 223,228th globally for his work in physics.

3. Tanmoy Roy Tushar from the Department of Environmental Science and Resource Management is placed 3rd at MBSTU , 463rd in Bangladesh , and 386,120th worldwide for his contributions to environmental science and engineering research.

The AD Scientific Index is highly regarded for its comprehensive methodology, which evaluates researchers based on their productivity and influence over the past five years. MBSTU's strong performance in this ranking underscores the university's growing influence and contribution to global scientific research.
