Dhaka, Sep 13 (V7N) – Jahangirnagar University will remain closed tomorrow, Sunday, September 14. All classes, offices, and scheduled exams have been postponed.

The decision was announced in a press release signed by university registrar ABM Azizur Rahman on Saturday. The release cited the tireless efforts of teachers, staff, and students during the preparations, voting, and vote counting for the 2025 JUCSU and Hall Parliament elections from September 10 to 13. Many are reportedly physically and mentally exhausted.

Classes and offices are expected to resume on Monday, September 15. However, all scheduled final exams will remain postponed.

The release added that the admission process for first-year undergraduate (honors) students for the 2024-25 academic year will continue as scheduled, with the concerned offices remaining open.

Counting of votes for the JUCSU and Hall Parliament elections has been ongoing for three days, and the Election Commission hopes to announce results by Saturday evening.
