The Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) celebrated the arrival of its new batch of students with a grand freshers’ reception for the academic year 2023-24. The event, held on the BUP campus this Thursday, was graced by the presence of Vice-Chancellor Major General Md Mahbub-ul Alam as the chief guest.

The ceremony began with an orientation session where the freshers were acquainted with the academic and administrative aspects of the university. In his address, Major General Md Mahbub-ul Alam extended a warm welcome to the students, highlighting BUP’s commitment to fostering a community that cherishes diversity, creativity, and innovation. He envisioned the students as future leaders and urged them to uphold moral values in their quest for knowledge and excellence.

The Vice-Chancellor also addressed pressing issues such as the dangers of drug abuse and the misuse of social media. He encouraged the students to develop skills in time management, truthfulness, and leadership to safeguard the nation’s honor and enhance BUP’s global reputation.

Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Khondoker Mokaddem Hossain, along with other high officials, faculty members, and students, participated in the program, marking a promising start to the academic journey of the freshers at BUP.
