Rajshahi, July 16 (V7N)- Fire has erupted in Bangabandhu Hall at Rajshahi University, allegedly ignited by demonstrators opposing the quota system. According to witnesses, the blaze began at approximately 3:15 PM on Tuesday, July 16, trapping numerous students within the hall. 
 
Protesters, reportedly armed with sticks, entered the university around 3:00 PM and set fire to 10-15 motorcycles parked on the hall's ground floor. University Proctor Professor Asabul Haque informed Silksity News that the fire ignited following the protesters' entry, prompting the fire service to intervene. 
 
Law enforcement has since brought the situation under control, although the full extent of the damage remains unclear.
