Mumbai, Mar 22 (V7N) – Priyanka Chopra Jonas has made history once again by securing the highest-paid contract for a Bollywood actress, signing on for a film directed by SS Rajamouli, the renowned filmmaker behind the global success of RRR.

Known for her dominance in both Bollywood and Hollywood, the Desi Girl has not been as visible in Bollywood in recent years, focusing more on her Hollywood career. However, her return to the Indian film industry is marked by a significant milestone.

Reports suggest that Rajamouli offered Priyanka a role in his upcoming film SSM 29, and while initial negotiations took place some time ago, the actress reportedly asked for a higher fee, which the director agreed to. Priyanka Chopra has signed a contract for 30 crore INR, making her the highest-paid actress in India, surpassing previous top earners like Deepika Padukone, who typically charged 15-20 crore INR per film.

In this new venture, Priyanka will be starring opposite Mahesh Babu, one of the biggest stars in South Indian cinema. With this deal, Priyanka has set a new benchmark for female actors in the Indian film industry.
