Sylhet, Dec 29 (V7N) — Pakistani all-rounder Imad Wasim has announced that he has filed for divorce from his wife Sania Ashfaq, sparking a wave of personal controversy.

In an Instagram post, Imad cited long-standing disagreements and personal issues as reasons for the legal separation. He requested that their private matters not be discussed publicly and urged the public to refrain from sharing old photos or memories. Imad also assured that he would continue to take care of their children.

Shortly after his announcement, Sania Ashfaq posted on social media, making serious allegations. She claimed she had been a victim of mental torture and neglect, including being left alone during her pregnancy. Sania also alleged that third-party interference played a role in the breakdown of their marriage. She stated that she has evidence of these matters and warned that legal action would be taken if anyone attempts to conceal the truth.

Currently, Imad Wasim is in Sylhet to participate in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) for the Dhaka Capitals franchise.

The personal dispute has drawn widespread attention among cricket fans and social media users, adding a sensitive dimension to the ongoing BPL season.
