Sisimpur, the beloved children's series in Bangladesh, continues to make waves internationally, adding another prestigious accolade to its collection with the International Tele Award. The acclaimed series was honored at the 45th Tele Awards for its remarkable contribution to fostering positive change in society.

Sisimpur's recognition stems from its commitment to inclusivity and diversity, demonstrated through the introduction of new character Julia and the incorporation of sign language in its episodes. These efforts promote messages of diversity, equality, and inclusion, resonating with audiences worldwide.

The series, aimed at Bangladeshi children, has now garnered three esteemed awards in less than three years, including the Kidscreen Award and the Anthem Award. Since its inception, Sisimpur has been produced with the support of USAID Bangladesh, highlighting the importance of collaboration in impactful media initiatives.

The Tele Awards, established in 1979, are renowned for honoring visual media projects that drive positive societal change. This year, Sisimpur stood out among 13,000 entries from 56 countries, alongside globally recognized organizations like Disney, National Geographic, and NASA Television.

Mohammad Shah Alam, Managing Director of Sisemi Workshop Bangladesh, expressed his delight at receiving the prestigious award, emphasizing that it serves as a source of inspiration for future endeavors. He credited the success to the collective efforts of production partners, broadcast collaborators, writers, artists, puppeteers, crews, and the children of Bangladesh.

Sisimpur, the Bangladeshi adaptation of Sesame Street, has been enriching pre-primary education and childhood experiences since 2005 under the motto of nurturing children to become more complete, resilient, and compassionate individuals.

The series' latest achievement reaffirms its significant impact on young viewers and underscores the power of media in shaping positive societal values and attitudes.
