Dhaka, Dec 04 (V7N) – The government job recruitment test fees, including the BCS application fee, have been capped at a maximum of Tk200.
This announcement was made by the Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration after a meeting of the Secretary Committee held on Wednesday at the Secretariat.
The Senior Secretary said that applications for government, semi-government, banks, and insurance jobs would have a maximum fee of Tk200.
The BCS viva voce (oral exam) marks will be reduced from 200 to 100.
He also mentioned that a gazette notification regarding this would be issued within a week.
Earlier, the Public Service Commission (PSC) had proposed reducing the application fee and viva marks for BCS exams.
In their proposal sent to the Ministry of Public Administration, the application fee was suggested to be Tk350, and viva marks were proposed to be reduced from 200 to 100.
Now, applicants will benefit from an even lower application fee of Tk200.
If approved by the ministry, the reduced exam fee could be implemented from the 47th BCS, while the reduced viva marks could take effect from the 44th BCS.
