Arakan Army (AA) fighters and junta troops are still engaged in combat in Rakhine, Myanmar. However, the conflict's rays are reaching Bangladesh's Cox's Bazar border. Locals in the border region between Hoikang Union and Hnila Union in Teknaf, Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, have reported seeing black smoke.

The residents in the border areas are living in dread even though it has been closed for a few days because of the constant sound of mortar bombs.

On Saturday, March 2, residents in the Hnila Union of Teknaf in Cox's Bazar, Myanmar, noticed black smoke east of Chowdhury para.
Speaking from the Hnila border region, Tareque Mahmud Roni, the president of Hnila Model Primary School, stated, "We went for a walk on Saturday morning and suddenly saw the black smoke of fire on the border of Balibazar area of Myanmar, east of Hnila Chowdhury para."

Lt. Col. Mohiuddin Ahmed, the commander of BGB's Teknaf 2 battalion, stated that BGB soldiers have been continuously monitoring the Rakhine issue in Myanmar and keeping a watch out for infiltration.
