In the ongoing process of the 6th Upazila Parishad elections, the third phase is scheduled to be conducted on Wednesday, (May-29th) in three upazilas of Pabna. Necessary election materials have already been dispatched to the polling centers.
 
On Tuesday (May 28), returning and assistant returning officers, along with electoral equipment including EVM machines, oversaw the preparations. Subsequently, they escorted Ansar members in various vehicles to ensure security, heading towards the polling centers.
 
Meanwhile, law enforcement personnel, including police officers, along with members of disciplined forces, will be deployed to ensure security and prevent any disruptions, as informed by Superintendent of Police (SP) Akbar Al Munshi to Voice7 News.
 
In the third phase, elections will be held in Pabna Sadar, Atghoria, and Ishwardi upazilas, with voting to be conducted through EVMs.
 
Returning officer and additional district magistrate Abdullah Al Mamun assured Seven7 News, "All necessary arrangements have been made to ensure an uninterrupted and fair election process. Alongside RAB, police, and Ansar members, the BGB will also be on standby. Several teams, under the leadership of executive magistrates, will be responsible for overseeing operations at each polling center. Election materials have already been dispatched to all polling centers."
 
In these three upazilas, there are 10 candidates competing for the chairman position, 23 for male vice-chairman, and 14 for female vice-chairman.
 
A total of 891,891 voters are eligible to cast their votes across the three upazilas, with 292 polling centers set up for the election.
 

On Wednesday, (May-2th) from 8 AM to 4 PM, voting will take place continuously."
