Dhaka, Dec 10 (V7N)- The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has announced plans to celebrate this year's Victory Day on December 16 with a grand concert at Manik Mia Avenue in Dhaka. The event aims to showcase the country's rich cultural heritage and inspire unity among citizens, particularly the youth.

BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie made the announcement during a press conference titled "Bangladesh First" held at Uday Tower in Gulshan on Tuesday morning.

Cultural Showcase

The concert, scheduled to run from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, will feature performances from some of the country's most renowned artists. The lineup includes Kona, Imran, Pritam, Kanakchapa, James, Baby Nazneen, Monir Khan, Abdul Hadi, and traditional Baul and Lalon performers, among others.

Annie highlighted that the event seeks to promote Bangladeshi culture while countering the influence of foreign cultural elements. "This concert is a celebration of our history and heritage. It will deliver a message of unity and pride in our nation," he stated.

Call to the Youth

The BNP leader invited young people across the country to participate in the concert, emphasizing the need to connect the new generation with Bangladesh's cultural roots.

This initiative marks BNP’s effort to observe Victory Day in a public and inclusive manner, aiming to unite people across generations and political divides under the banner of national pride and cultural preservation.
