Dhaka, Dec 20 (V7N) — BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has expressed profound grief over the demise of AFM Hasan Arif, former advisor to the interim government's Ministry of Land, Private Aviation, and Tourism, and a prominent jurist of the country.
In a condolence message issued on Friday, Tarique Rahman highlighted the significant loss to the nation due to the passing of such an experienced and wise legal expert, especially during the current political climate.
"The death of AFM Hasan Arif has left a void in the legal profession and the country's political landscape. His invaluable contributions to the legal field will forever remain etched in the minds of his colleagues and inspire future generations of lawyers. His dedication to the rule of law will continue to guide democratic political parties," Rahman said in his statement.
The BNP Acting Chairman extended his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family, admirers, and well-wishers of AFM Hasan Arif. He also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
