Teknaf, Jan 25 (V7N)— BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has arrived at Teknaf beach in Cox's Bazar for a personal vacation with his family. On Saturday morning, he was seen at Shahparir Island near the Teknaf-Myanmar border, accompanied by local BNP leaders and activists.
During his visit, Mirza Fakhrul interacted with fishermen on the beach and inquired about their livelihoods. Local leaders, including Teknaf Sadar UP Chairman Ziaur Rahman and district BNP finance secretary Mohammad Abdullah, greeted him upon hearing of his arrival.
Mohammad Abdullah shared, "Our leader encouraged us to stay united to confront conspiracies and work towards restoring democracy, freedom of speech, individual liberty, and voting rights."
Though the BNP has not officially announced this trip, party sources confirmed it was a personal visit. Mirza Fakhrul was also spotted enjoying the beach with his wife, emphasising the family-oriented nature of his stay.
The Secretary General's visit to Teknaf highlights his connection with grassroots leaders and local communities, even during personal retreats.
