Awami League General Secretary, Obaidul Quader, has criticized the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), alleging their desperation to seize state power through any means, with leaders who have lost their sense of responsibility.
Quader emphasized the stark difference in political approaches between the Awami League and the BNP, highlighting their commitment to serving the people versus what he described as BNP's anti-people politics.
He accused the BNP of exploiting and oppressing the people during their tenure, fostering an environment of fear and terror through acts of terrorism and extremism. Quader condemned the BNP's current tactics of creating confusion and chaos through violence to undermine the democratically elected government.
Pointing to the failure of the BNP's democratic movements, Quader accused them of resorting to terrorism and violence under the guise of anti-government protests.
He criticized the BNP and its allies for targeting innocent people and state resources through acts of arson and vandalism, hindering the country's development.
Quader labeled the BNP as a terrorist organization, alleging their decision to provide shelter to terrorists. He cited past instances where the BNP allegedly protected notorious terrorists like "Bangla Bhai" and created a conducive environment for terrorism during their governance.
In contrast, Quader affirmed the incumbent government's commitment to taking legal action against terrorists to ensure peace and security for the people of Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
