Chakaria, Aug 22 (V7N) - Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami, has stated that while the party does not seek revenge for the wrongs and injustices inflicted by others, it firmly believes in ensuring justice for those who have been wronged.
 
He made these remarks during a brief meeting after visiting the family of Shaheed Ahsan Habib from Fasiakhali, Chakaria, who was martyred in a student movement against inequality.
 
On August 15, Jamaat-e-Islami provided financial aid of one lakh taka to the family of the late Ahsan Habib.
 
Earlier, upon arriving at Chakaria's Harbang entrance, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman was greeted warmly by party members and supporters, and a motorcade was organized in his honor.
 
On August 21, when he reached the Jhorjhori Bridge area in Fasiakhali Union, he was welcomed with enthusiastic slogans by thousands of party leaders and activists.
 
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman later paid his respects at the grave of Shaheed Ahsan Habib located at the central graveyard next to Fasiakhali Mosque.
 
Also present at the event were Jamaat-e-Islami’s Assistant Secretary Mohammad Shahjahan, Chattogram Metropolitan Amir and former MP Shahjahan Chowdhury, Cox’s Bazar District Amir Nur Ahmed Anwari, Chakaria Upazila Amir Maulana Abul Bashar, and the President of Cox’s Bazar District Chhatra Shibir Musa Ibn Hossain Biploy, along with various leaders and activists from Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir.
