Dhaka, Aug 22 (V7N): Rashed Khan Menon, president of the Workers' Party of Bangladesh and former Member of Parliament, has been arrested by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

Menon was apprehended on Thursday in the capital's Gulshan area, according to DMP sources.

He faces charges related to several recent cases involving the fatalities during clashes between protesters and law enforcement agencies during the Anti-Discrimination Student Protest.
