Cox’s Bazar, Aug 24 (V7N) - The administration has recovered the body of a child from the Bakkhali River in Ramu, Cox’s Bazar. The deceased child, identified as Mohammad Junayed, was discovered at the Cox’s Bazar Fishery Dock.
 
Junayed was the son of Kabir Ahmed from Lambiri Para village in the Fatekharikul Union of Ramu Upazila.
 
Authorities were alerted to the presence of the floating body at the Fishery Dock around 3:30 PM on Saturday.
 
According to local journalist Mohammad Abu Bakar Siddique, Junayed had been swept away by the river while gathering wood on the riverbank last Thursday around noon. His body was located after 54 hours.
