Dhaka, Nov 23 (V7N) – Commerce Adviser Sk Bashir Uddin has called for collective efforts to achieve a dignified transformation of society, emphasizing the pivotal role of journalists in this mission.

The adviser shared these thoughts as the chief guest at a scholarship distribution ceremony for the children of deceased members of the Dhaka Reporters’ Unity (DRU), held on Saturday at the DRU hall.

Highlighting societal challenges, he pointed out that over the past 15 years, the nation has witnessed the rise of a "criminalized civilization," fostering division and fear across all sectors of society.

Market and Economic Insights
On the state of the market, the adviser noted a slight decline in the prices of essential goods and outlined ongoing efforts to stabilize the market ahead of Ramadan. He emphasized the importance of balancing supply and demand and appealed to journalists for their cooperation and prayers in achieving this equilibrium.

He also acknowledged reductions in the prices of sugar, oil, and onions, attributing these improvements to the collective contributions of various stakeholders.

Focus on Education
Addressing students, Sk Bashir Uddin underlined the continuous nature of learning and encouraged hard work and dedication to achieving personal and professional goals.
