Dubai, Dec 24 (V7N) — Abdullah Ali Abdullah Khasif Al Hamoudi, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador to Bangladesh, has announced that tourist visas for Bangladeshi citizens will be available from February 2025. This announcement was made during a reception for Mushfiqul Fazal Ansari, newly appointed as the Senior Secretary, held by the Bangladeshi community in Dubai on Monday night.

Ambassador Al Hamoudi shared that visa complications between Bangladesh and the UAE will be resolved by mid-February. He added, “All types of visas, including travel visas, will be introduced. The UAE government is committed to strengthening its relationship with Bangladesh.”

Highlighting the significant contributions of Bangladeshi expatriates, he said, “Bangladeshi workers have played an integral role in building the UAE, from constructing roads to iconic high-rise buildings. Their dedication is undeniable.”

Mushfiqul Fazal Ansari, the chief guest, expressed gratitude for the UAE’s cooperation. He said, “The bond between Bangladesh and the UAE is unshakable. We hope for further collaboration, especially in skilled manpower recruitment.”

Ambassador Ansari also emphasised the importance of Bangladeshi professionals in sectors such as healthcare, engineering, and IT, urging the UAE government to ease visa processes for these groups.

The event, chaired by Engineer Moazzem Hossain, was attended by prominent figures, including Zakir Hossain, Dr. Reza Khan, Engineer MA Salam Khan, and Acting Consul General of Dubai, Ashfaq Hossain.

With over 1.2 million Bangladeshis currently residing in the UAE, this development is expected to strengthen bilateral ties and create new opportunities for travel and employment.
