Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal expressed confidence that the final trial of the Pilkhana murder case would conclude soon. Speaking to reporters after paying respects at the graves of martyrs in Banani military cemetery on Sunday morning, he emphasized that the government has not shown negligence in handling the trial of the BDR rebellion.

Kamal acknowledged the complexity of investigating the Pilkhana massacre, which posed significant challenges due to its scale. He explained that conducting a thorough investigation of such a large-scale incident naturally took time but assured that it has been completed diligently.

Expressing hope for a swift conclusion to the trial, Kamal highlighted the independence of the judicial process, stating that the timeline ultimately rests with the judiciary. He anticipated that the final judgment would be delivered soon, emphasizing the impartiality and autonomy of the courts.

The morning began with solemn commemorations at Banani Military Cemetery, where wreaths were laid at the graves of the fallen army personnel. Representatives from the President and Prime Minister's offices, as well as high-ranking military officials, paid their respects to the martyrs.

Following the official tributes, family members and relatives of the martyrs also offered their respects, underscoring the significance of the sacrifices made by their loved ones. A moment of silence was observed in honor of the fallen, followed by prayers for their eternal peace.
