Dhaka, Feb 08 (V7N) – Shafiqul Alam, Press Secretary to the Home Affairs Advisor, has alleged that a significant conspiracy is underway to tarnish the reputation of Nobel Laureate Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus on the global stage. Speaking at the 24th Mass Uprising Publication Festival of Treachery Graffiti at the National Press Club on Saturday, Alam claimed that the Indian media is playing a role in this alleged campaign.

“There is a big conspiracy being hatched in exchange for huge sums of money to portray Professor Dr. Yunus negatively to the world,” Alam stated, urging vigilance against such efforts.

Beyond the allegations, Alam issued a broader warning about the political climate in Bangladesh, cautioning against a potential return to dictatorship. “Graffiti should be used to spread the message so that the fallen government cannot raise its head,” he declared, emphasizing that measures must be taken to prevent the resurgence of what he described as “the Awami dictatorship and its associates.”

Calling for unity and calm amid the country’s ongoing political tensions, Alam urged citizens to remain composed but steadfast in ensuring that “the fascist government cannot return.”

Also addressing the event, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi reiterated the party’s commitment to supporting the interim government despite criticisms. He also condemned India’s recent actions, labeling them as direct interference in Bangladesh's sovereignty. “India's recent stance amounts to direct interference in the sovereignty of Bangladesh,” Rizvi asserted.

These remarks come amid escalating political tensions in the country, as opposition groups continue to challenge the existing political order and foreign relations remain under scrutiny.
