Dhaka, Nov 04 (V7N)- The Election Commission (EC) has granted final registration to three political parties, including the Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP). The other two parties are the Bangladesh Aam Jangan Party and the Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal Marxist, according to EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed.

NCP has been registered with the Shapla Kali symbol. A public notice regarding the parties will be issued on Wednesday, and if no objections arise, the EC will publish the gazette confirming their registration after November 12.

The registration of the Bangladesh Nezami Islami Party remains under High Court consideration. In total, 143 applications were submitted for party registration, of which 22 parties passed the preliminary selection.

Akhtar Ahmed also noted that the EC is currently working on implementing the Representation of the People (RPO) Amendment Ordinance, 2025.
