Dhaka, Mar 13 (V7N) — Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan, has congratulated Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, the newly appointed Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad.

The message was conveyed through a letter on Thursday (March 12), according to information shared on the parliament’s verified social media pages.

In the letter, Ayaz Sadiq highlighted the long-standing ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh, noting that the people of the two countries share deep connections through history, culture, religion, and traditions. He expressed hope that the current leadership of Bangladesh would play an important role in further strengthening parliamentary relations between the two nations.

The Pakistani Speaker also formally invited Major (Retd.) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed to visit Pakistan.

Ayaz Sadiq further expressed optimism that enhanced parliamentary engagement and bilateral cooperation would contribute to strengthening relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
