Dhaka, Apr 22 (V7N) — The selection process for nomination papers submitted for the reserved women’s seats in the upcoming 13th National Parliament has begun today, according to the Election Commission (EC).
Two-day verification process
As per the EC schedule, the scrutiny and selection of nomination papers will continue for two days—Wednesday (April 22) and Thursday (April 23).
The process officially started this afternoon at 2:00 pm today and will continue from 10:00 am tomorrow.
Venue and administration
The proceedings are being held at the Election Bhaban Auditorium (Basement-2) of the Election Commission Secretariat in Agargaon, Dhaka.
The schedule was issued in a notification signed by Md. Moin Uddin Khan, Joint Secretary of the Election Commission Secretariat and Returning Officer for the Reserved Women’s Seat Election-2026.
Transparency measures
The EC has stated that candidates, along with their proposers and supporters, will be allowed to be present during the scrutiny process to ensure fairness and transparency.
