Dhaka, May 06 (V7N) — Nusrat Tabassum Jyoti, newly elected to a reserved women’s seat in the National Parliament, has officially taken oath as a Member of Parliament.

The oath was administered on Wednesday (May 6) by Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed at his office in the Jatiya Sangsad.

The ceremony was conducted under the supervision of Parliament Secretariat Secretary Golam Sarwar Bhuiyan. Following the oath, Nusrat Tabassum Jyoti signed the official oath register in accordance with parliamentary procedures.

The event was attended by the Deputy Speaker, the Chief Whip of the opposition party, and senior officials of the Parliament Secretariat.

According to parliamentary sources, the oath was administered in line with Article 148 (Third Schedule) of the Constitution of Bangladesh and Rule 5 of the Rules of Procedure of Parliament.
