Approximately 345 enormous kingfish have been ensnared in the trawler's net at Teknaf, Cox's Bazar. It's called 'Nagu Fish' in the native tongue. Both the large and little fish weigh around 110 tons each. There were 265 fish at 11 to 17 kg and 55 fish between 8 to 10 kg.
The fish were sold on Monday, March 4, for 19 lakhs.

The fish were taken aboard the "MV Delowar," a trawler that three persons jointly owned. Afterward, they paid Tk 420 per kilogram to local fishmongers for the fish.

The announcement that fishermen have successfully collected fish in the Bay of Bengal is undoubtedly excellent news, according to Teknaf Upazila's Senior Fisheries Officer, Muhammad Delowar Hossain.

These fish are being captured in fishermen's nets in both tiny and huge amounts as a result of several regulatory regulations. A higher price would have been achieved had the fish been able to be sold in Chittagong, Dhaka.

A local trawler in Teknaf captured 345 pieces of huge kingfish, according to the fisheries department. However, in the Chittagong regional language, it is referred to as nagu fish.
