Seoul, July 2, 2024 — Workers at Samsung, the renowned mobile phone brand and microchip maker, have announced a strike to demand fair pay and benefits. The President of the Workers' Union, Son Woo Mok, made the announcement in a video message on YouTube on Monday.

The strike is set to begin on July 8th. The union's demands include fair salaries, performance-based bonuses, and an additional day of annual leave. Son Woo Mok emphasized that the protest will continue until all demands are met.

The workers will strike under the slogan "No pay, no work." This action follows a previous one-day strike by 28,000 union members last month over similar grievances regarding unfair wages.

As of now, Samsung authorities have not responded to these latest developments. The strike represents a significant challenge for the company, which is a key player in the global technology market.
