Dhaka, Nov 23 (V7N) — The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested eight individuals during anti-drug operations conducted in various parts of the capital over 24 hours.

The raids, part of DMP’s ongoing efforts to combat drug-related crimes, were carried out from 6 am on Friday to 6 am on Saturday. During the operations, authorities recovered 3.4 kg of ganja, 31 yaba tablets, and 0.5 grams of heroin from the arrested individuals.

Seven cases have been filed under the Narcotics Control Act at the respective police stations. The DMP reiterated its commitment to eradicating narcotics from the city through regular operations and strict enforcement of the law.
