"We have collected DNA samples for testing to establish their identities,"

Bangladesh's capital Under investigation, according to Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Habibur Rahman, is the cause of the early-morning fire that killed two people in a slum close to the FDC Gate in Karwan Bazar, Dhaka.

DMP Commissioner Rahman said, speaking to the reporters on the scene, "It is too soon to say whether negligence or an electrical short-circuit caused the fire. The true cause will become clearer as a result of the police and fire department's ongoing investigations.

The lack of a connected road was one of the main issues he brought up to the challenges faced in putting out the fire. He made it abundantly evident that the investigation would also assess the efficiency of the water, power, and access roads serving the impoverished area.

The commissioner said that it was not able to identify the victims right away due to the extensive burns they had incurred. "We have collected DNA samples for testing to establish their identities," he said.

The Mollabari slum in Karwan Bazar was destroyed by fire in the early morning of Saturday January 13. Firefighters arrived quickly to the scene, and 13 units were able to put out the fire. Later, two scorched bodies were discovered.

Two people are still unaccounted for after the incident, according to the DMP commissioner, and it is assumed that the bodies that have been found could be those of the missing people. To shed light on this unfortunate incident, the police are still investigating.
