Dhaka, Sept 7 (V7N): Hundreds of government job seekers gathered at Shahbagh intersection today, staging a demonstration to demand an increase in the age limit for applying to government jobs, raising it from 30 to 35 years.

Eyewitnesses reported that the protest began around noon, bringing vehicular movement in the Shahbagh area to a halt. The demonstrators carried banners calling for the attention of the chief adviser regarding their demands.

One of the protesters expressed frustration, stating, "Currently, the age limit for applying to civil service jobs is 30. We are demanding that this limit be extended to 35. We've been making this demand for 14 years but have yet to receive any response."
