Dhaka, Oct 04 (V7N) — Due to the influence of active monsoon winds, meteorological authorities have instructed four seaports in Bangladesh to raise warning signal No. 3. The alert applies to the coastal areas, North Bay of Bengal, and the seaports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla, and Payra.

The warning, issued by Meteorologist Dr. Md. Bazlur Rashid, highlights the formation of deep convective clouds over the North Bay of Bengal and Bangladesh’s coastal areas. These weather conditions are expected to bring gale force winds over the region, posing potential risks to the coastal areas, seaports, and maritime activities.

Fishing boats and trawlers currently operating in the North Bay of Bengal have been advised to proceed cautiously and remain close to the coast until further notice.
