Rajshahi, Feb 27, (V7N) - Police have arrested an active Jubo League worker, Abdullah Al Noman, in Mohanpur, Rajshahi. The arrest was made on Thursday, February 27, at 11 a.m. from the Karisha village with the help of local residents.
 
According to local sources and police, Abdullah Al Noman is the son of prominent Awami League leader A.K.M. Shamsul Islam. He had been actively involved in various criminal activities using his political connections, including pressuring local voters and extorting money from them. He was known for intimidating locals and being involved in illegal activities such as extortion and collaborating with drug dealers for economic gain. Furthermore, Noman was also accused of using drugs and harassing female police officers, which had previously been overlooked by local authorities.
 
Despite his father and Noman being absconding, local residents informed Mohanpur Police Station when he returned to the area. The police acted swiftly and arrested him.
 
Mohanpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (O.C.) Ataur Rahman confirmed that Noman has been involved in several crimes, and after gathering concrete evidence, he was arrested. He has been sent to court and will be imprisoned pending further legal action.
 
This arrest marks a significant move against political influence and criminal activity in the region.
