Rajshahi, Oct 15 (V7N) – This year, none of the students from 12 colleges under the Rajshahi Education Board passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exam, resulting in a 100% failure rate for those institutions. A total of 46 candidates from these 12 colleges appeared for the exam. Despite the overall pass rate of 81.24% in the Rajshahi Education Board, with 24,902 students achieving a GPA-5, these colleges faced complete failure.

The colleges with a 100% failure rate are distributed across six districts:
- Rajshahi district : 1 college.
- Bogra district : 2 colleges.
- Natore district : 4 colleges.
- Naogaon district : 1 college.
- Sirajganj district : 2 colleges.
- Chapainawabganj district : 2 colleges.

Natore had the highest number of failing colleges, with four institutions recording zero pass rates.

1. Rajshahi District :
- Mundumala Girls High School and College, Tano (1 student failed).

2. Bogra District :
- Nizbolil N College, Sariakandi (16 students failed).
- Bagbari Mahila College, Gabtali (7 students failed).

3. Natore District :
- Durgapur School and College, Gurdaspur (6 students failed).
- Begum Khaleda Zia College, Natore Sadar (4 students failed).
- Sarcutia School and College, Naldanga (2 students failed).
- Tamaltala Women's College, Bagatipara (2 students failed).

4. Naogaon District :
- Chakamdev Adarsh College, Manda Upazila (2 students failed).

5. Sirajganj District :
- Chantagacha Mahila College (2 students failed).
- Chatiantoli Morgram Technical and BM College (2 students failed).

6. Chapainawabganj District :
- Shafiur Rahman Ideal College, Sadar (1 student failed).
- Chak Ghagdu High School and College, Nawabganj Sadar (1 student failed).


In 2023, there were 4 colleges with 100% failure under the Rajshahi Education Board, while 9 colleges failed in 2022. There were no such institutions in 2020 and 2021, but in 2019, 7 colleges recorded a 100% failure rate. Chairman of the Rajshahi Education Board, Oliul Alam , expressed concern over the situation and mentioned that the Ministry of Education will be notified to take necessary action. Additionally, the education board will seek explanations from these institutions regarding their poor performance.
