Habiganj, Oct 30 (V7N)- The Upazila Fisheries Office in Madhavpur has distributed fish fingerlings to fish farmers affected by recent flooding, aiming to support their recovery and livelihood. The event took place at 10 a.m. at the Upazila Parishad Chatter, where 667 kg of fish fingerlings were distributed to 95 local farmers under the revenue section of the Upazila Fisheries Office for the fiscal year 2024-25.
The distribution was overseen by Upazila Executive Officer AKM Faisal, with Upazila Fisheries Officer Md. Faridur Rahman, Upazila Relief and Disaster Officer Md. Noor Mohammad, and Upazila Agriculture Officer Dr. Abid Sarkar in attendance. Also present were journalist Jamal Md. Abu Nacher and other local dignitaries.
This initiative aims to aid fish farmers in replenishing their stocks and revitalizing their businesses after the adverse impact of recent flooding.
