hirty members of the Kuki-Chin National Front (KNF), detained in connection with a bank robbery and the theft of 14 firearms from law enforcement in Ruma and Thanchi upazilas of Bandarban, were moved to Chittagong Central Jail from Bandarban District Jail on Tuesday morning. The transfer, managed by the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and police, was prompted by space constraints at the Bandarban facility. Jail Superintendent Jannatul Farhad mentioned that if court appearances are required, the process will be handled virtually or the prisoners will be brought back. Five KNF members were recently killed in gunfights with joint forces in Bandarban.
