Kalapara June 17,(V7N)- The holy festival of Eid-ul-Azha, one of the most significant religious celebrations in Islam, is being observed in Patuakhali with religious solemnity and joyous fervor. The main Eid congregation was held at 7 AM on Monday at the central Eidgah Maidan adjacent to the Patuakhali Municipality. 
 
The prayer was led by Maulana Abu Saeed, the Khatib of the Boro Jame Mosque. Additionally, Eid prayers were held in nearly 4,000 mosques and open fields throughout the district.
 
Following the prayers, special supplications were made for the peace of the country and the Muslim Ummah. From early morning, a festive atmosphere prevailed in every village and neighborhood across the district. Devout Muslims are celebrating the day by sacrificing animals in the spirit of seeking Allah's pleasure.
