Dhaka, 25 July - Due to the ongoing violent activities associated with the quota reform movement, four more Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations have been postponed to ensure the safety of students. These exams were initially scheduled for July 28, 29, 31, and August 1.

This information was shared by Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar, the President of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and Chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, on Thursday. The decision was made in light of the current situation in the country, prioritizing the security of the candidates.

Before this latest postponement, exams on July 18, 21, 23, and 25 had already been deferred for similar reasons. The postponed exams will be rescheduled to dates after August 11, although specific dates have not yet been announced.

Examinations under the Madrasa Education Board and Technical Education Board were also postponed due to the prevailing flood situation and other ongoing disruptions.

The HSC and equivalent exams began on June 30, but examinations under the Sylhet Division's Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board, and Bangladesh Technical Education Board were postponed until July 8 due to severe flooding in the Sylhet region.
