Kalapara, Feb 12 (V7N) – The home of popular content creator Kafi in Rajpara village, Tiakhali Union, Kalapara upazila, Patuakhali, was reportedly set on fire in the early hours of Tuesday. The incident occurred around 2 AM, with six family members, including Kafi's parents, inside the house at the time.
Kafi, who was not at home during the incident, shared details via a post on his verified Facebook page, claiming that the doors were blocked and the fire was intentionally set from outside.
Kafi's father, Maulana Md. ABM Habibur Rahman, confirmed that despite the dangerous circumstances, the family managed to escape unharmed. "It was a terrifying experience, but thankfully, we were able to get out safely," he said.
Upon receiving the emergency call, a team from the Kalapara Fire Service swiftly responded to the scene. Md. Ilias Hossain, Station In-Charge of the Kalapara Fire Service, stated, "Our team reached the spot around 2 AM and worked tirelessly for about two hours to bring the fire under control."
An investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the fire, though authorities have yet to confirm whether it was arson.
Mostafizur Rahman, OC (Investigation) of Kalapara Police Station, said that the police are actively investigating the incident. "So far, no written complaint has been filed by Kafi's family, but we are proceeding with an inquiry to establish how the fire started," he added.

The incident has sparked concern among fans and locals, as Kafi is widely recognized for his social media presence and influential content. While no suspects have been named, the possibility of foul play remains under consideration.
Authorities have urged Kafi’s family to file a formal complaint to expedite the investigation.
