Dhaka, Oct 15 (V7N): Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, has called for the dismissal of individuals identified as supporters of the Awami League's "fascist regime" from all state roles, asserting that they have forfeited their moral right to serve in such capacities.

During a party workers' conference on Tuesday morning in the Loknath Dighi Tank area of Brahmanbaria town, he stated that these individuals should not be entitled to taxpayer funding due to their complicity in past crimes.

Dr. Rahman warned that retaining these individuals in power could jeopardize the government, the state, and the aspirations of the people, ultimately leading to failure.

He criticized the Awami government's "Ayna Ghar," alleging that very few detainees return to their families, suggesting they are often eliminated without proper notification to their loved ones.

He accused the Awami League of attempting to incite unrest, referencing incidents like the Ansar event and alleged efforts to orchestrate a judicial coup.

Dr. Rahman claimed that the ruling party is attempting to rebrand itself using Islamic symbols, with Chhatra League leaders allegedly inciting youth under a religious pretext to create chaos.

He views this as a conspiracy to depict Bangladesh as a violent and extremist state, which he believes the nation will collectively oppose.

Expressing his vision for a new Bangladesh, he emphasized the importance of equal rights for all, social harmony, and accessible education for every child, along with opportunities for employment post-study.

The event featured ATM Masum, central assistant secretary general of Jamaat-e-Islami, as the chief guest, while Mohammad Golam Faruq, district Ameer of Brahmanbaria Jamaat-e-Islami and member of the Central Majlish-e-Shura, presided over the gathering.
