Kurigram, July 20 (V7N) — Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis Amir Mamunul Haque said at a public rally at Kurigram Government College on Saturday that the interim government established in 2024—on the blood of thousands of martyrs—may be plotting a new conspiracy. “In 2024, we shattered the chains of party servitude, not to serve Washington,” he asserted.

Addressing the crowd, Mamunul Haque delivered a clear warning to Interim Chief Dr. Yunus, urging him to prevent any attempt by the United Nations Human Rights Commission to establish an office in Bangladesh as a way to entrench “Washington’s dominance.” He emphasized that any such mandate must come from the people's elected government—not a short-lived caretaker.

He further called on the interim government to focus on national development and ensure free and fair elections in accordance with the declared roadmap.

Also present at the rally were Khelafat Majlis Secretary General Maulana Jamal Uddin Ahmed, Joint Secretary Mufti Sharafat Hossain, Organizing Secretary Maulana Enamul Haque Musa, and District Amir Mufti Ibrahim Khalil Nomani.
