Dhaka, Dec 07 (V7N) – An air ambulance arranged for the medical transfer of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia to London has requested permission to land in Dhaka on Tuesday, December 9. If approved, the flight is scheduled to depart the following day, Wednesday, for London, a Civil Aviation Authority (CAAB) official confirmed.

The German aviation company FAI Aviation Group submitted the flight schedule through a third party, requesting landing in Dhaka on December 9 and departure for London on December 10. The CAAB has forwarded the application to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the necessary clearance.

Following a decision to upgrade the air ambulance for Khaleda Zia’s treatment, the Qatari government arranged the new aircraft through FAI Aviation Group. The rented air ambulance is a Bombardier Challenger 604 (CL-604) model, recognized for its robust transcontinental capabilities and suitability for long-distance medical evacuation flights. CAAB sources confirmed that the aircraft, operated by leading German air ambulance professionals, is fully equipped for the Dhaka-London medical transfer.

This arrangement underscores the high-level medical care being coordinated for Khaleda Zia, who remains under intensive treatment in Dhaka.
