Obaidul Quader, Minister of Road Transport and Bridges and General Secretary of the Awami League, stated on Tuesday (April-9) that the BNP is a symbol of an anti-democratic movement that constantly plots to undermine the democratic and stable atmosphere of the nation.

The philosophy, principles, and actions of the BNP are incompatible with democratic norms. In the political sphere, the BNP's position is diametrically opposed to democracy "in a statement.

According to Quader, the BNP is an internationally recognised terrorist organisation and an opponent to the nation's democracy.

He claimed that the BNP, which was founded by a military dictator, truly embodies an anti-democratic attitude under a mask of democracy. Thus, he continued, the BNP has no regard for the constitutional and methodical approach.

The general secretary of the AL said that the BNP had used chaos and terrorism to obstruct the elections rather than participating in them.

He claimed that the party uses its political platform to try to mask its deeply rooted terrorist nature.

However, he noted that the BNP has become well-known both domestically and internationally, adding that the Canadian Federal Court designated the group as a terrorist organisation.

Quader claimed that since the BNP has consistently adopted the incorrect ideas and initiatives, it has been mired in a web of mistakes. He stated that the BNP's leaders and workers had also fallen into depression as a result of bad politics.

He claimed that bewildered leaders and BNP employees are now attempting maliciously to sow the seeds of dissatisfaction among the populace.

According to him, the BNP's leaders don't see anything good in the nation since the party has no future plans.

He claimed that via their divisive tactics, they constantly concoct schemes to harm the nation and its citizens.

Quader added that under the direction of Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of Bangabandhu, AL leaders and workers are doing every effort to maintain the nation's independence, sovereignty, and democracy.
He expressed hope that the nation will overcome all obstacles and one day become a developed, rich, and safe place to live, called Smart Bangladesh.
