Dhaka, August 3- Road Transport and Bridges Minister and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has accused Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing, Islami Chhatra Shibir, of orchestrating planned acts of terror and violence under the guise of a movement. In a statement sent to the media on Friday night, August 2, Quader condemned the actions of Jamaat-Shibir, alleging that they were deliberately causing chaos and unrest across the country.

In his statement, Quader detailed incidents of violence, including an attack on Awami League leaders and activists in Habiganj. He reported that Jamaat-Shibir operatives vandalized and set fire to the district Awami League office and attacked the home of district Awami League President and local Member of Parliament Abu Zahir. Additionally, Quader highlighted a violent attack in Khulna, where a police officer was killed.

The Awami League general secretary claimed that trained Jamaat-Shibir cadres were responsible for widespread attacks, vandalism, and arson aimed at creating disorder. He called on law enforcement agencies to swiftly identify and bring these perpetrators to justice.

Quader also urged citizens to unite against what he described as the "evil force" working against the country's interests. He emphasized the importance of solidarity in preventing further violence and maintaining peace and order.

The statement reflects growing tensions and political strife in Bangladesh, with the Awami League accusing opposition groups of instigating violence and undermining stability.
