Dhaka, Apr 14 (V7N) –Bangladesh leg-spinner Rishad Hossain starred with the ball on his first ever appearance in a foreign Twenty20 franchise league as his side Lahore Qalandars registered their first win in the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League.

Rishad was benched in Lahore’s PSL opener against Islamabad United but came into the side Sunday in place of Namibian all-rounder David Wiese for the game against Quetta Gladiators.

Rishad clean bowled Quetta’s top-scorer Rilee Rossouw (44) and Mohammad Amir and also accounted for the wicket of Abrar Ahmed as the Gladiators, chasing 220, were all out for 140 in 16.2 overs.

Lahore captain Shaheen Shah Afridi, Asif Afridi and Zimbabwean all-rounder Sikandar Raza chipped in with two wickets each.

Earlier, asked to bat first, the Qalandars posted 219 losing six wickets, riding on fifties from player of the match Fakhar Zaman (67) and English wicketkeeper-batter Sam Billings (50 not out).

Coming in at No 8, Rishad was unbeaten on a run-a-ball.

Bangladesh stumper-batsman Liton Das was also set to feature for Karachi Kings but had to return home due to a finger injury.
