In a significant development, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, embroiled in an excise corruption case, has been granted a seven-day remand by the court for questioning. The news was reported by Indian news media Hindustan Times on Friday (March 22).

According to the report, Kejriwal, the leader of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party, was produced before the Rouse Avenue court of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Delhi by the Central Investigation Agency. The agency sought a 10-day remand for further interrogation. However, after the hearing, Judge B Cha Rock granted permission for Kejriwal to be interrogated until March 28.
